Aquatic Safety Instructor:
Ages: 16+
Must meet minimum swimming requirements for level willing to teach. Students will learn proper teaching techniques, class organizational skills, games, & stabilization positions. Students must be able to effectively manage and instruct swimming lessons. Certification is offered by Cunningham Aquatics,SM
Aquatic Safety Instructor Aide:
Ages: 11+
Must meet minimum swimming requirements for level willing to teach. Students will learn proper teaching techniques, and class organizational skills. Students will then be able to shadow Certified ASI's.
Community Water Safety:
Learn about hazards to watch for, how to prevent drowning and injury, and how to rescue yourself and others if needed.
Lifeguarding:
Age: 15 Shallow Water Attendants only
Ages: 16+ Shallow Water, Pools, Open Water,
& Specialty Facilities
Total course completion Time: approx. 24 hrs.
Learn Aquatic rescue techniques in shallow water, pools, or specialty areas such as Open water beaches or waterparks. Course includes, CPR, AED, Oxygen training, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Water Rescue Techniques.
Jr. Lifeguarding:
Ages: 10+
Learn the basic skills of a Lifeguard. Apply skills learned with a certified Cunningham Aquatics lifeguard
Open Water Lifeguarding (Beaches):
Ages: 16+
Total course completion Time: approx. 27 hrs.
Learn open water rescues, rescue boards, spinal injuries, rescues and extrication, net drag search, and snorkel & fins.
